Here, at Euro Pilates many clients are experiencing the benefits of combining massage with Pilates training. We believe that by Integrating Pilates and massage, we can have a profound effect in helping clients achieve a stronger, relaxed and balanced body.

Combining Pilates training with massage therapy can help eliminate chronic pain and/or tension points. We found that clients would return week after week with tension in the same areas and hold tension in the same muscles, due to every day stress. Today our clients often have back-to-back Pilates and massage sessions in order to help relieve aches and pains of their tensed and stressed bodies.

Pilates and massage techniques create balance in opposing muscle groups. When assessing a client, therapists pay close attention to the opposing muscle groups. One may be tight, while the other is weak. Pilates strengthens the weak muscles, and massage releases tension in the areas that are tight.

Massage can also increase clients range of motion to further improve their performance in sport or simply in everyday life.

How does it work?

Depending on the aims of the sports massage there will be different effects. For example if you are looking to get a massage before a competition the muscles will be massaged vigorously, in order to increase blood flow and heat to the muscles and therefore allow them to be stretched further and adapt to exercise easily. Or if you are looking to have a post exercise massage it will be less deep and vigorous and looking more at releasing hormones into the blood to relax the muscles, and also to remove any waste products such as lactic acid from the muscles to aid muscle recover

We highly value our clients time and therefore have hired the best and highly qualified massage therapists, please meet:
